Located at 18 Little West 12th Street in lower Manhattan, Club Cielo provides a tantalizing music program of deeply soulful house music perfect for mature individuals seeking a smooth nightlife, exclusive services such as birthdays and other special occasions. Cielo’s state-of-the-art space is perfect for both large and small groups and though the overall size of the club may be small in comparison to most of Manhattan’s larger venues, at Cielo the noted elitism of upscale lounges with their VIP rooms are absent. Once you come to Cielo, there will be no worry about hassles such as ropes, checkpoints or rules.
The security guys here are friendly and inviting making for a fulfilling experience. Cielo has set a new level in New York City nightlife by going back to basics: the best DJs from around the world (the renowned Louis Vega is the DJ on Wednesday’s) both as guests and residents, a strong door, impeccable service, a centrally-located sunken dance floor with a glittering disco ball rotating above, stunning decor and lighting, and a mind-blowing sound system which will blow your ears off. Conceived in 2003 by co-owner and longtime DJ Nicolas Matar, Cielo has a maximum capacity of just 250, but experience unlike any other.
Besides DJs such as Vegas, popular spin artists like Luciano, David Guetta and Sven Vath have also played here. The club has demonstrated its notoriety with an unprecedented number of awards and nominations, while establishing itself as an international brand with an edict of outstanding electronic music. Cielo is open five nights a week starting on Monday with Francois K’s Deep Space, moving to Wednesday with Louie Vega and Kevin Hedge’s Roots and then Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
